Hannu Hautala Sata parasta
Hannu Hautala - Sata parasta, is a broad cross-section of the best photographs of the Grand Old Man of the field from the early 1960s to the 2000s.
The exhibition of the most famous, internationally and nationally, Finnish nature photographer Hannu Hautala - Sata parasta, is a broad cross-section of the best photographs of the Grand Old Man of the field from the early 1960s to the 2000s. The exhibition is based on the images and captions of the book of the same name published in cooperation by Hannu Hautala, the Hannu Hautala Foundation and Kustannusosakeyhtiö Siltala in 2021. In addition, in the Kuukkeli-hall, you can watch a video in which Hannu Hautala talks about the birth of one of his most significant nature picture books, A Year in Kuusamo (1984).
There are 22 photo boards on display in the gallery and the Kuukkeli-hall, and all 100 of the best pictures in the book can be viewed digitally in the Hannu’s rocking chair application. Kari Kantola, the foundation's representative who planned the exhibition, has shown pictures of the northern birds close to Hautala's heart, of which he is known as a skilled photographer, as well as some atmospheric, already classic, photos of Kuusamo.
