This series of exhibits begins with an overview of the personal and cultural history of people who have settled down in the Rauma area.
In the lobby of the Old Town Hall (Kauppakatu 13), there is a display case in which Rauma Museum provides a venue for local immigrants to tell their story. This series of exhibits begins with an overview of the personal and cultural history of people who have settled down in the Rauma area. In addition to the personal stories of the immigrants that come from various backgrounds, the exhibits introduce some of the most significant events in the history of the immigrants’ countries of origin. The exhibits showcase personal items and mementos from a time prior to their immigration.
The story of a Polish immigrant from September to November 2020, followed by the story of a Bulgarian immigrant from December 2020 to February 2021.
