Katja Syrjä: Miss Veronica

Her way of working is exceptionally holistic: she uses the raw materials she has grown or collected herself and the natural colors she has made from them, thus making the whole process an important part of the artwork. The ancient ways of working exude a deep respect for nature, handicrafts and especially the traditions maintained by women. In her works, she deals with topics related to history, the environment, science and art, often inspired by colors, their raw materials and places where they grow.
