Banksy. A Visual Protest

Serlachius-museum Gsta, Mntt-Vilppula

  • 15.5.2021–10.10.2021

Banksy, from Bristol, is a street artist who has eluded the authorities for years and whose identity remains unknown. He is a rebel whose works mocking commercialism now attract top prices from collectors.

The Banksy. A Visual Protest exhibition showcases the worlds most famous street artist, whose visually skilful and biting works also incorporate humanity and warm humour. The exhibition, implemented in collaboration with 24 Ore Cultura of Milan, brings Banksys production to Finland for the first time on such a scale.

The exhibition includes about seventy works borrowed from various collections, particularly well-known examples of the artists early production. This is not an official Banksy exhibition, as it has not been authorised by the artist himself. The exhibition is curated by Gianni Mercurio.

Serlachius offers a free admission to both museums during the exhibition Banksy. A Visual Protest. Book your ticket in advance because the exhibition might get crowded.
