SCHJERFBECK - among others. The Gyllenberg Collection

An exhibition about the Gyllenberg Foundation Art Collection, with works from Tintoretto to Schjerfbeck.

The Gyllenberg Art Collection consists of ca. 400 works or art, of which 380 were purchased by Signe and Ane Gyllenberg. Nearly 150 artists are represented, and the earliest works are from the 17th century, and the lastest from the 1970s. During the autumn and winter of 2019-2020 Villa Gyllenberg will display a selection of works from the Gyllenberg Collection, showing the diversity of the collection and reflecting Ane Gyllenberg’s interests.

The display in the home museum is very much the same as it was during the time of the Gyllenberg couple. On the new side of the museum we’ll display most of the extensive Helene Schjerfbeck Collection, as well as themes of Landscapes, Cityscapes and Portraits.
