Focus on the contemporary art connected to Central Finland in Jyväskylä Art Museum, Saarijärvi Museum, Keuruu Museum and Gallery Jarska in Tapper Brothers' Juhola.
Due to the situation in early 2020, changes have been made to the museum's exhibition program for 2020–2021. The exhibition A Journey to the Heartlands 2020 opens in February 2021.
The theme of the exhibition surrounds the idea of belonging to a place and being an outsider. Installations, video art, sculptures, wall textiles, drawings and paintings are displayed in Saarijärvi by 14 artists/artist duo. The artists are Duncan Butt Juvonen, Laura Dahlberg, Taija Goldblatt, Hana Lee Erdman & Louise Dahl, Meri Hietala & Antti Ahonen, Pasi Eerik Karjula, Anne Lehtelä, Petra Lindholm, Maija Ojanen, Anna Ruth, Jukka Silokunnas, Anders Smebye & Vikram Uchida-Khanna, Toûa Toûa ja Ilkka Virtanen. The artist in Gallery Jarska in the summer 2020 was Jussi Järvinen.
