Pirkko Hammarberg (1932-2018)
Retrospection into Pirkko Hammarberg's (1932-2018) print design and unique textile pieces in Vinkkeli exhibition space in Forssa Library.
Pirkko Hammarberg was a print designer and textile artist based in Forssa. She designed the powerful graphic prints like Optic Apple for Finlayson in the 1970s. These designs competed with Marimekko outlook.
In addition to the industrial print design Pirkko Hammarberg had an important second life: creation of handmade woven fabrics like tapestries and double-weaves, which she designed and partly made herself. These pieces of textile art are for loan from public institutions and private homes.
The exhibition is produced by Forssa Museum.
