Saturday and Sunday 20.–21.4. at 14–16
Artist: Mira Roivainen

Artist Mira Roivainen teaches the basics in pigment transfer techniques during the two-day course. Pigment transfer is a versatile technique, where an image is transferred onto another surface using acrylic medium. The technique can be used as part of a painting or simply for transferring an image onto wood.

The work shop starts out on Saturday with a tour in the Young Artists 2019 exhibition, after which there will be in introduction to pigment transferring. The acrylic medium will be spread out onto an image and then left to dry until Sunday. On Sunday the transferring process will be completed and you will be able to bring home the transferred image.

If you choose to work with your own image, please send it to mira.roivainen@gmail.com by 19 April. Otherwise there will be a selection of images to work with.

The workshop is suitable for everyone, no previous experience is needed.
Children under 12 years should be accompanied by an adult.
