Arabia - nobility of tableware and everyday beauty

The production of Arabia porcelain factory is enormous. This exhibition presents mainly Arabia products from the museum’s own collections, covering the time line from the factory’s early years to the 1980s.

Finnish people love Arabia tableware. Only very few homes do not have any Arabia cups or mugs. These dishes bring back memories from childhood, grandmother’s coffee table, summer days at the cottage, setting up a home... Vases and cherished treasures are passed from one generation to the next. Arabia tableware has been part of the Finnish family life for decades, sometimes gathering dust in the cupboards, sometimes experiencing a renaissance.
